For me, I couldn’t find an excuse to say things in words when I could just say it with my work. Art was the only way I could portray ideas and images I had circulating in my head. From a kid who was inarticulate with connecting to people, I used art as a conversation with others and myself on how the world works. Art was always a conversation or a study, which is why most of my work revolves around people. I focus on the kind of work that allow me to get to the detail of the human expression, using mediums such as colored pencil, acrylic and oil paints, as well as digital illustration. I like to focus a lot of my current work on the ideas and concepts of pop culture, across several communities, to offer my audience a feeling of intrigue plus nostalgia, in a way they haven’t seen before.
